1938 Bugatti 57c Stelvio Drophead
| ||
| When Jean Bugatti took his mind off creating a car purely for the race circuit, he created his final and most lasting legacy. With the type 57, he succeeded in retaining the racing chassis while offering a level of comfort even the most discriminating elite could appreciate. Producing 160 HP for the supercharged "C" model and a top speed of 120 MPH, it never disappointed enthusiasts. In fact, a race-modified type 57 placed first at LeMans in 1939, representing Bugatti's crowning acheivement in its mechanical evolution. Coachwork by Gangloff. | ![]() |
